They take shelter at a businessman Daddy Girija (Jagapathi Babu) in a city where he lands in unfamiliar adversaries. He realizes that, the man-eaters (tigers) living in forest are far better and safer to the cunning natured men living in cities. How Kumar deals with the foes is crux of the story. He weighs heavy, but the efforts he put in for fights are really far-fetched. Though Mohanlal is known for doing concept-based films, he tried commercial film with Manyam Puli and he fit the bill perfectly. There are several heroism elevation sequences and Mohanlal appeared like a real tiger is ready to hunt. He was equally splendid in emotional sequences too. Kamalini Mukherjee played the role of Mohanlal’s wife credibly. In fact, movie appeared sluggish in most of scenes he appeared. Other artists are okay.ĭirector Vysakh stunned one and all by making a pure commercial film with Mohanlal. Though the film doesn’t have convincing story, he could made the film watchable with his making. Though the film is a commercial entertainer, it has some emotional sequences. Bonding between Mohanlal with other characters is rocking.
